Student Led Conferences

At Inspire, students take ownership of their own learning program. This empowerment is shown in many different ways, but none more than in student / parent / teacher conferences. In these conferences, the student leads the conference to demonstrate to their parent(s) or guardian the work that they have mastered.

Preschool Student Led Conferences

At the preschool level conferences are guided by the teacher with the student showcasing their work.

Early Elementary Student Led Conferences

After welcoming their parents to the conference, early elementary students share their portfolio of work with their parents. Teachers ask questions to help the students along. If time allows, students also demonstrate daily activities – such as weather – for their parents.

Upper Elementary Student Led Conferences

Upper elementary students welcome their parents to the conference and then begin by reviewing, with confidence and knowledge, their NWEA test scores. They also share from their online portfolios, read aloud, and discuss their progress and goals.

Middle School Student Led Conferences

At the middle school level, students prepare scripts to help guide them through their conferences. The conferences begin with students sharing from their online portfolios with an emphasis on their progress and goals; they conclude the conference by showing examples of their school work.
